About this place
A homemade teriyaki sauce brings together Kyushu soy sauce and the aroma of cassis. Daruma Coffee’s “Dharma's Teriyaki Burger” has drawn praise from one diner for its memorable blend of sweetness and fruitiness. For a change from a sweeter teriyaki flavour, there is also the “Dharma's Chili Burger”: it pairs chilli con carne made with espresso and red miso with grilled lime. One diner added jalapeños, enjoying the combination of acidity and heat.
The burgers stand out not only for their flavours but also for their generous proportions. One diner was surprised by how neatly they could eat a thick burger wrapped in paper; another enjoyed a cheeseburger with a patty they described as full of meaty flavour and a fragrant bun. Fries come alongside, making for a satisfying lunch centred on the burger.
Coffee and something sweet make a good follow-up. One diner paired a burger with a blend coffee and said it was a cup to savour at leisure after the meal. The Basque cheesecake, meanwhile, was remembered for its smooth texture and rich cheese flavour. Another diner ordered cake and a café latte after an avocado burger and coffee, and particularly enjoyed the Basque cheesecake. The time spent in the converted traditional townhouse gently bridges a meal and a café break: come hungry for a burger, or settle in with coffee and cake.
